Tanzanian government appeals against child marriage ban
The Tanzanian
government has said it will appeal against a historic ruling
which outlawed marriage for children under the age of 18.
Last month, the High Court ruled that sections of the 1971 Marriage Act, which allowed girls to be married at an age as young as 14, were unconstitutional.
