Lamontville Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen says new players at the club are trying hard to find their feet but he has been impressed with their efforts in the Absa Premiership season.
The Durban-based club have made a positive start to the season with three wins from their opening five matches after starting the campaign with an away defeat at Orlando Pirates in August.
“The new players are still trying to find their feet at the club but in the last match, (Clifton) Miheso looked explosive and (Andile) Fikizolo was a threat as well,” said Larsen of the goalless draw with SuperSport United last week.
Arrows underwent a complete overhaul after losing some 18 players at the end of the last season.
The club brought in a total of 12 new players -- Vuyani Ntanga, Lerato Lamola, Wayde Jooste (all Bloemfontein Celtic), Lehlohonolo Nonyane, Limbikani Mzava (both Mpumalanga Black Aces), Kudakwashe Mahachi (Mamelodi Sundowns), Danny Phiri (Chicken Inn, Zimbabwe), Clifton Miheso (AFC Leopards, Kenya), Siphelele Magubane (FC Cape Town), Lee Langeveldt (Milano United), Andile Fikizolo (SuperSport United) and Mauricio Barrios from Colombia.
Not all have yet had a chance to play. Arrows’ next outing is their league game
