nicki-minaj-2016

Nicki Minaj returns with big punchlines on “The Pinkprint Freestyle.”

Ooouuu! After popping up on records for DJ KhaledDJ Mustard, and Ariana GrandeNicki Minaj is back with some music of her own. The rap queen unleashes “The Pinkprint Freestyle” to remind listeners that no one’s taking her crown. Over Young M.A.’s “Ooouuu,” Meek Mill’s main chick delivers some boastful bars.
“Young ma is the female Jay,” she raps. “I’m a brand, according to what retail say / Yeah, my tours be selling out on pre-sale day / Plus, I got the TIDAL queen stream, press replay.”

She also holds down her man (“Testify for my ni**a to the D.A.’s face”), takes shots at the competition (“I’m dragging these hoes like Harambe did the kid”), shouts out Foxy Brown and Lil Wayne, and touts her influence.
“Like I didn’t make all these b*tches want a fat ass at some point,” laughs Nicki. “Like I didn’t make all these b*tches rock pink hair at some point.”
She also sings God’s praises and celebrates her family before completely switching up the beat to a dancehall riddim, where she spits lyrics from M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes.”
“M.I.A., M.I.A., I made b*tches go M.I.A.,” she raps.
